Ahoj. Takže zhruba měsíc a půl po tragédii touto formou předávám novinky z Kalymnosu. Prosím, nečekejte vytříbený sloh ani stylistickou úpravu. Ani technické údaje nejsou 100%.
Ema Galeová skončila dnes 7. ve finále evropského poháru v boulderingu v Liptovském Mikuláši na Slovensku. Do finále postoupila jako jediná z našich. V semifinále byla ještě Viktorie Konečná, které v něm skončila na 20. místě. V ženách nakonec vyhrála Rakušanka Jakoba Rauter, v mužích zvítězil Ital Matteo Reusa.
Letadlo dosedne v Addis Abeba. Tak opět po roce Afrika. Proč jsou pískovcové věže vzdálené 1000 km z hlavního města? Musíme si je zasloužit. Vystrčit nohu z auta, v ruce držet lano umí každej…. Ale dostat se v Africe do bodu B je jinej level.
Na netu jsem našel lezeckou oblast Tigray.
Před šesti lety to byl jen starý, nevzhledný lom u benzínky, kolem kterého většina lidí bez povšimnutí projela. Já se ale zastavil. Viděl jsem stěny schované pod nánosem suti a hlíny a v hlavě se mi spustil plán: vize lezecké oblasti, co by kamenem dohodil od Prahy, kde si zalezou i rodiny s dětmi.
Padání do reality všedního pracovního života bylo v pondělí tvrdé. Úměrně s tím si moc vážím krásného víkendu v partě více než tří stovek lidí. Ti všichni rozhodli, že uděláme maximum pro to, abychom se příští rok sešli na stejném místě.

Před večerním vystoupením v sálu O2 Universum si dnes ještě udělal zastávku na tiskovce na lezecké stěně Smíchoff, kde po boku své ženy Diane Messner odpovídal na dotazy novinářů a horolezeckých nadšenců.

Chci vám v několika bodech, pokud možno stručně a srozumitelně předat informace z ostrova, takže tady jsou ...
- Z důvodu reboltingu nebo stáří vybraných cest (20 let +) je průběžně uzavřeno částečně nebo úplně 10-15 sektorů.
- Platí dočasný zákaz tvorby nových cest. Ani po zrušení zákazu již nebude možné "volné" vrtání nových cest tak jako doposud. Nové cesty bude třeba konzultovat a hlásit na Reboltingu Kalymnos nebo druhé reboltingové skupině zřízené městem (Pothia)… v podstatě obdoba systému fungujícího u nás. V současné době (pravděpodobně i do budoucna) budou moci vrtat, reboltovat a jinak udržovat nové a stávající cesty pouze členové těchto dvou týmů nebo lidé, kteří zde již prokazatelně osadili 10 a více cest. Ostatní zájemci pouze pod dohledem a za přítomnosti výše uvedených nebo po absolvování školení. Školení budou probíhat na podzim 2026 na Kalymnosu nebo "kdykoliv" po dohodě s Arisem. Vyškolení jedinci obdrží licenci.
Z Čechů tyto podmínky prozatím splňuje pouze Jára Tišer. (50+ cest).

Tato opatření jsou platná z důvodu použití "nové" technologie, tj. lepení borhaků, místo dosavadních expanzních nýtů a také z důvodu tvorby databáze cest a v neposlední řadě kvůli dodržení použití nově schváleného materiálu jištění.
Vzhledem k tomu, že potenciál na tvorbu nových cest je již na ostrově značně vyčerpaný (90–95%), bude se v praxi skutečně jednat o masivní a celoplošný rebolting existujících cest a sektorů a jejich následnou údržbu umožňující bezpečné lezení bez možnosti selhání jistících prvků.
- Oba týmy, až na výjimky (nahlášený kritický stav nýtu, řetězu) reboltují kompletní cesty, tkz. postupové jištění a řetězy. Náš prvotní návrh byl vzhledem k množství nebezpečných (starých) cest začít měnit pouze řetězy, kde může být případný pád fatální.
Tento návrh byl zamítnut z důvodu evidence a (ne)přehlednosti probíhajícího přejišťování.
Jak je již zmíněno výše, aktuálně reboltují 2 skupiny... a to, již déle existující Rebolting Kalymnos pod vedením Arise Theodoropoulose, t.z. otce Kalymnosu, který ostrov pro lezecký sport objevil a následně začal boltovat v druhé polovině 90.let minulého století. Tento muž je také autorem prvního vydání průvodce a všech jeho následných aktualizací.
Rebolting Kalymnos od 15. 4. 2026 používá výhradně lepené titanové borháky od řecké firmy Lappas (tuším průměr 12 mm, délka 140 mm nebo obráceně?) v kombinaci s červeným lepidlem (Hilti?).
Údajná bezpečná životnost při dodržení správné technologie osazení může být až 50 let. (netuším..)
Tato skupina je dlouhodobě financována výhradně z darů bez podpory města a státu.
Příspěvky je možné posílat na Rebolting Kalymnos a nově také přes aplikaci RebolttheWorld, kterou zmíním v některém z dalších bodů.
Aktuálně (14. 5. 2026) je nakoupen materiál na dalších 100 cest (800–1000 ks borháků), což údajně představuje práci na dva měsíce při současné efektivitě týmu.
Od 15.4. do 15. 5. 2026 bylo reboltováno 200 ks Ti borháků, ale řešilo se k tomu spoustu administrativy apod. Tým je průběžně posilován.
Peníze jsou, ale chybí více lidí.
- Druhá, nově založená skupina spadá pod město a místní samosprávu a vede ji místní rodák, jehož jméno jsem si nezapamatoval…
Impulsem k založení této skupiny byla bohužel, jako již mnohokrát v novodobé historii lidstva, konkrétní tragédie, bez které by se bohužel pokračovalo vesele dál, stylem "jedeme, než se kolo utrhne".
Místní vedení žilo tak trochu v laickém domnění, že zdejší továrna na peníze je bezúdržbové perpetuum mobile, a až strach z toho, že by se tento penězovod zastavil, je přiměl jednat.
Najednou se objevil fond (město + dotace z Athén), ve kterém je údajně a prý již dlouho (2018) 600 000 eur na rebolting. (informace z 10.5.2026)
I přes opakované žádosti v posledních letech Rebolting Kalymnos nedostal od města na údržbu skal a cest ani euro ani žádnou jinou, byť alespoň morální podporu… naopak probíhaly i neúspěšné snahy práci týmu ovlivňovat a omezovat. Asi politika (komunální), jako všude jinde ve světě...
Jelikož v této ostrovní části Řecka jsme v mnoha ohledech života, služeb a fungování blíže Balkánu než Evropě má to jeden další "malý" háček. Fond města i dotace z Athén byly postaveny na dodání nerezového materiálu jištění, nikoliv titanu. Vrácení a nová žádost jsou prý nereálné a proto tato skupina reboltuje s lepenými nerezovými borháky (přesnou specifikaci neznám, pravděpodobně třída materiálu 316) s prokazatelnou bezpečnou životností 10 let!!! ...velká škoda... určitě lepší než nic, ale přitom objemu práce.... posuďte sami...
- Bohužel mezi oběma skupinami údajně panuje slušně řečeno "lehké napětí"… šuškanda, závist, apod.
Z těchto důvodů městská skupina neakceptuje ani vkládání jimi reboltovaných cest do nové aplikace Rebolt the world.org z důvodu neochoty převzít případnou právní i obecnou odpovědnost za práci druhé skupiny.
Toto je aktuální stav, stále probíhají další jednání.

- Nová aplikace RebolttheWorld… kromě výše zmíněných informací za mě asi uživatelsky nejdůležitější novinka a pomůcka. Autorem je australský horský vůdce, lezec, záchranář a pilot vrtulníku Lee, který má mimo jiné zkušenosti s reboltingem v blízkosti moře v Austrálii a znalosti v oblasti "solné koroze".
Apka je rychlá, přehledná a nabízí spoustu věcí... namátkou: možnost nahlášení vadného jistění, volných kamenů apod., celkový počet cest na ostrově s přehledem materiálu a stáří cest, počet nově reboltovaných cest titanem (k dnešnímu dni cca 200ks od 15.4.2026), možnost poslání peněz na rebolting, seznam reboltovaných cest s přiřazením do jednotlivých sektorů, diskuzní fórum, u cest a sektorů používá škálu 3 barev... zelená-kompletně nové jištění, žlutá-částečná výměna, červená-žádná přejištěná cesta, dále tu vidíte stáří cesty a typ použitého materiálu jištění v nepřejištěných sektorech.
Aplikaci primárně spravuje ReboltingKalymnosteam.
- CZ sbírka... V době,kdy jsem vás formou článku zde na Lezci a zpráv po telefonu oslovil bylo na účtu 30.000 kč z toho 20.000 kč poslali dva přímý účastníci bezprostředně po tragédii a účet byl v tomto čase, už de facto bez pohybu. Zhruba 10–14 dní po zveřejnění výzvy přišlo dalších cca 80 000 Kč. Nyní jsou již příchozí platby opět téměř nulové, což je s postupujícím časem pochopitelné.
Mé důvody k podpoře této sbírky byly (jsou stále) v tu dobu hodně osobní a emoční a prostě jsme něco chtěli a museli udělat hned....za sebe, pro Petra i pro ostatní lezce na ostrově… v tu dobu jsme navíc neznali výše i níže uvedené informace a skutečnosti.
Petra jsem znal od svých 15 let a za uplynulých 38 let jsem s ním zažil spoustu nejen lezeckých dní, tréninků a zajezdů po celé Evropě od jednodenních výletů na písek a na Krkavku, přes víkendy v Juře, až po měsíční výjezdy do Francie, Itálie, Španělska… a samozřejmě v posledních letech do jeho nového domova na Kalymnos.
To je jen pro dokreslení a pochopení (nejen) mojí osobní ztráty v podobě Brumlova náhlého a tragického odchodu…

Vybraná částka je tedy aktuálně cca 110 000 Kč a můj vnitřní osobní cíl a přání byla ta stovka, kterou se díky Vám podařilo vybrat. V porovnání s penězi, které se poměrně rychle po pádu našly na městě (uvidíme, jestli a jak s nimi naloží), se tato částka může zdát malá, ale pro mě osobně je minimálně stejně velká a důležitá.
Platí to, co jsme avizovali při spuštění sbírky, tj. ukončíme ji k 30.5.2026 a obratem zveřejníme přesnou konečnou částku, i to jak s ní naložíme.
Zatim zvažujeme přímý převod celé částky na účet ReboltingKalymnos teamu nebo nákup materiálu (vrtačky, borháky, flexi lepidlo) a odeslání zbytku peněz na účet.
Chtěl bych tímto všem dárcům a přispěvatelům moc poděkovat...pomohli jste dobré věci ♥️ ...
Celá tato tragédie rozhýbala proces obnovy jištění a dalšího snad již bezpečného lezení v lezeckém ráji, kterým Kalymnos pro spoustu z nás bezesporu byl a je ...

Gratuluju k vykonum, kdysi jsme se s kamosema pokouseli o biafo-hispar a nejaky lezeni ale dopadlo to daleko hur. Samej pytel :o). Karakoram je super. Hodne zdaru. Happy climbing....
Díky za pochvaly i kritiku fotek. Fakt jsme spíš lezci než fotografové. No a trocha růžových brýlí nikdy neuškodí :-) Možná to chce ještě vysvětlení, proč nejsou fotky z lezení na hraně. Hned v první délce se nám podařilo zničit foťák a to totálně. Vůbec to byl nasírací den (krávy nám sežraly v táboře jídlo). No končím, jen se chci omluvit za překlepy a hrubky. Jsem dysortograf.

mám pár dotazu ohledně treku,za prvé jsou velký problémy s trhlinama specialně na snow lake a potom dál za hispar la?za druhé když pujdu z askole na solovku pustěj mě tam?za třetí je nutný alpský vybavení/cepín,mačky,špagát/dík za odpověd jeff
Čau, tak nákres není. U té hrany není fakt potřeba. Prostě valíš po celkem úzké hraně nahoru, kudy to pustí. Plánek přístupu není špatnej nápad. Zkusíme ho vytvořit a někam to pověsit.
Dále odpovědi na všetečné otázky ohledně treku. S trhlinami na Snow lake je to těžké odpovědět. My jsme nikam nespadli a nějaká trhlinová hrůza mi to nepřišlo. Na druhou stranu jsme byli navázaní. Pech můžeš mít vždy a všude. Osobně bych sólo nedoporučoval. Jinak když jsi drsný a slušně je pošleš do patřičných míst, tak tě tam pustí. Hlavně jim vadí, že nepřinášíš prachy místním nosičům.
K vybavení. Mačky jsme nepoužili, cepín se hodí a vodu a hlavně na možnou záchranu parťáka a lano je stejný případ, navázaní jsme šli.
