Ve ctvrtek 12.9.2002 se stala tragicka udalost na Manine.
Dano Pauer, autor vyse uvedenych pruvodcu a spravny chlap zemrel nasledkem padu. Prozatim se za pricinu povazuje preseknuti lana padajicim kamenem, k nestesti doslo v okamziku kdy se nechal jisticem spoustet dolu. Nemam zdaleka vsechny informace, ale je jasne ze ani on ani jistic nebyli amateri, a sam osobne bych po padu lana taky asi netrval na tom ze slanim sam (a pokontroluju si pri tom lano...}protoze slo o prehlednou oblast kde to ani moc nepada.
Odesel jeden z nas a my vsichni bychom si meli davat zase vic bacha.

| Osobne jsem ho neznal, ale vim ze na Manine delal spoustu fakt peknych cest...nahoda je nekdy strasna svine... Na Dana asi nikdo z nas nezapomene pri pohledu do maninskeho pruvodce.... |

| Dano byl skvělý člověk. Byl to lezec-tvůrce, to proto, že vytvářel nové cesty a tím rozšiřoval možnosti lezení a umožňoval nám nové zážitky a dojmy z přelézání jeho cest. Proto jsem v roce 2003 vytvořil na Vršatci, na Stěně za Krivú cestu na jeho počest – jmenuje se ,,Danovi na památku,,. Vede levým okrajem stěny podél hrany a jsou v ní 4 jištění ( 3 nerez borháky a 1 skoba). Klasifikace je zhruba 8-. Děkuji Danovi do jeho horolezeckého nebe za to, co všechno pro nás na slovenských skalách udělal. S úctou Zdenek Luža. 4.4.2005. |
