Lezec - Zpravodaj

"Včera byl pravděpodobně nejdelší lezecký den v mém životě. Šli jsme s mým tátou na The Nose, abych se pokusil o volný přelez za jeden den. Začali jsme za prvního světla a až do Great Roof to šlo dobře, onsightoval jsem všechny délky během pár hodin. Ale Great Roof mě zastavil.
Měl jsem pěkný flash pokus, trochu jsem si to ošahal, spustil se dal druhý pokus. Myslel jsem, že to půjde snadno, ale neuvědomil jsem si, jak jsou v tomhle lezení důležité nohy. Po tolika délkách a bez toho, abych si dal rest po pokusu o flash, byly nohy supr roztřesené a slabé. Spadl jsem a dal jsem ještě 3. pokus a spadl jsem na konci traverzu.
Nebyl důvod dávat víc pokusů, chtěli jsme vylézt do topu. V nočním lezení jsem onsightoval všechny délky kromě Changing Corner.
Topu jsme dosáhli v půlnoci za začínajícího deště. Byla to plně alpinistická zkušenost, když jsme za deště nenašli sestupovku, strávili mokrý bivak v malé jeskyni a konečně došli v 9 ráno k autu.
The Nose je jeden z nejslavnějších výstupů na světě a jsem velmi rád, že jsem to mohl lézt s mým tátou, i když to nebylo volně. Velký den." - Adam Ondra 24.10.2016 citovaný BD.

Update: Ondra Makes Proud Effort to Onsight the Nose ⠀ ⠀ “Yesterday was probably the longest climbing day of my life. We went with my dad up on The Nose, wanting to free it in a day. We started at first light and up to the Great Roof it was going well, onsighting all of the pitches in a few hours. But the Great Roof shut me down. I had a pretty good flash go, got the beta, lowered and gave it a second shot thinking I would fire it off easily, but I had not realized how important the feet are on this climb. After climbing so many pitches and taking no rest after my flash, they went super shaky and weak. I fell, gave it even a third go and fell in the end of the traverse. There was no point in giving it more tries and we just wanted to top out. Time to switch to night climbing and onsighting all of the pitches except for Changing Corner, topping out at midnight in the starting rain. Full alpine experience, as we did not find the descent route in the pissing rain, and had a wet and cold bivy in the little cave, before we finally got to the car at 9 a.m. The Nose is one of the most famous climbs in the world and I am super glad to have climbed it with my dad, even though not free.
