Avalanche Hazard in some Czech mountain areas

Avalanche hazard of the 3rd grade (from the 5 grade international scale) is announced by Czech mountain rescue service in Jeseniky (Northern Moravia) and in some avalanche prone spots in Krkonoše.

Accident and similar situation in Slovakia:
On Tuesday Jan 4 2005 a Czech mountaineer died under an avalanche in the High Tatras, Slovakia. The avalanche hit two mountaineers, one of them fortunately escaped uninjured. The second one did not survive after 8 hours under snow. They went on the tourist track where the avalanche was not expected and they had their transceivers turned off in their bags. 3rd grade avalanche hazard was also announced in the High Tatras and the situation continues, the Slovak mountain rescue service reports
