The giant stalactite on the route Trela, 6c+ in Kalymnos has apparently broke off. According to the website climbing.de this mammoth phallic symbol of the unique climbing on the small Greek island broke off when someone was cleaning the route while being lowered off. The guide book specifically states to clean the route on top rope, thanks dick. Anywho, you may be asking yourself, "Why should I care?" Well, This stunning feature not only graces the cover of the local guide book, it also once ran an unsuccessful campaign to become mayor of the island. Trella exemplified the unique nature of the climbing on the island, with 40 meters of 3D climbing through a wall dripping with stalactites.
