Zdeněk Teplý, a mountaineer and methodologist, has died Zdeněk Teplý, a mountaineer, instructor, and longtime technical advisor for the Czech Mountaineering Association (ČHS), has died at the age of 85. He was one of the leading figures in Czech mountaineering; for many years, he led the Neratovice Mountaineering Club and served as the ČHS’s chief technical advisor. Hundreds of climbers were trained under his guidance.
