A Czech climber died on the Postalm via ferrata in AustriaA 23-year-old Czech climber died yesterday after falling on the Postalm-Klettersteig via ferrata near the village of Strobl in the Austrian state of Salzburg. According to the local mountain rescue service, he fell into the gorge right at the start of the via ferrata, sustaining fatal injuries. Members of the mountain rescue service from Strobl who were called to the scene rappelled down to the man, but could only confirm that he was dead. The body was subsequently recovered by the aviation police with the help of a helicopter. The Alpine Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
