The International Mountaineering Film Festival in Teplice nad Metují begins in just one monthAugust 27–30, 2026 In just one month, the 43rd annual International Mountaineering Film Festival - traditionally known among climbers as “Fesťák” - will begin in Teplice nad Metují. The festival will take place from August 27 to 30 and will feature a competitive screening of films about mountaineering and the outdoors, lectures by local and international guests, concerts, sports competitions, and other accompanying events.Among the main international guests at this year’s festival are Austrian climber and photographer Heinz Zak and British mountaineer James Price, who will present his expeditions in Pakistan’s Karakoram. The program will also feature discussions with Tomáš Etzler, screenings of new mountaineering films, bouldering competitions, the traditional Namche SkiGrass Challenge, and evening concerts.
