US film Return 2 Sender won the 23rd International Mountaineering Film Festival (also known as Festak) which took place in Teplice nad Metuji (Northern Bohemia) 24-27 August 2006. The film was granted by the Grand Prix and was about particular view and commentary on culture of climbing by Timmy O´Neill.
A Czech film Taktovka - 80 years from the ascent was granted as the best mountaineering film, an austrian film The Cave BASE Project was considered as the best documentary film.
There were three Jury´s Special Mention: 1st Memento - Boulder Life Line (Austria), 2nd Aoraki Ski Mountaineering (Austria), 3rd Changes of Tatras (Slovakia).
The Slovak film Pururambo got the Prize of the Town of Teplice nad Metují and Czech film Welcome to Jordan Mr. got the Spectators´ Prize.
