Silva Rajfova was 12th and Jiri Pelikan 33rd as the best Czech climbers on the first this year competition of the World Cup in difficulty ice climbing, that took place last week (18.-20.1.2008) in Daone, Italy.
The another Czech girl Lucie Hrozova finished 14th from overall 18 participating women. There were altogether 50 men there and besides the Czech Jiri Pelikan also several Slovaks started. The bests of them were Juraj Svingal 19th and Gabriel Cmarik 29.

Besides that there was the competition in speed ice climbing, but withou the Czech or Slovak participation.
