25th annual of International Mountaineering Film Festival nicknamed Festak in Teplice nad Metuji (close to Adrspach sandstone towers, north east Bohemia, north of Czech Republic) has started today on 28th Augost and will take place till Sunday 31st August 2008.

There are films, discussions, bouldering competition, slacklines, etc conected with mountains on schedule.

The main guests are Slovak extreme high altitude mountaineer Dodo Kopold, and British professional climber Andy Earl. There are scheduled dia-show of Czech mountaineers Radek Jaros and Zdenek Hruby and Polish mountaineer Petr Chrzanowski.



Competition of Czech Cup in bouldering will start on Saturday morning at 8.30 in park. Slackline is on program on Saturday afternoon at 18.00.

Among the new films will be one from Czech climbing expedition to China granit big wallsCajnatrip (DZC v Cine).
Film about Petrohradska Padani 2007 (Petrohradske padani)  the bouldering outdoor international competition in Czech Republic by Ondrej Smrz. Other Czech film by Jiri Kratochvil Jabulka, is story of two young climbing ladies in active post war mortar field area.
British Magic Numbers, present UK elit climber Steve McClure. Film Acopan is  German movie about ascent of  Stefan Glowacz to Cerro Copan in Venezuela. The full program is on www.horolezeckyfestival.cz
