Adam Ondra advanced to the finals in lead
Adam Ondra advanced to the final of the World Cup lead climbing competition in Innsbruck, Austria, tonight after finishing 7th in the semifinals. In the women’s competition, the Czech two semifinalists did not advance. Tereza Širůčková finished 13th, and Michaela Smetanová finished 23rd. The finals are tomorrow evening, with the men climbing starting at 7:40 p.m. and the women at 8:40 p.m. Other Czech national team members were eliminated in the qualifying round.

Adam Ondra advanced to the semifinals of the World Cup lead climbing competition in Innsbruck, Austria, today after finishing 4th in the qualifying round. In addition to him, our own Michaela Smetanová advanced to the semifinals from 13th place, and Tereza Širůčková from 20th place. The semifinals are tonight at 7:40 p.m., and the finals will be tomorrow evening. The rest of our national team members were eliminated in the qualifying round.
Martin Stráník placed 28th, Arina Jurčenko 39th, Jan Štípek 45th, and Eva Galeová 68th.
