According to a personal ranking published in his new video by popular Norwegian YouTuber and former top climber Magnus Midtbø, Adam Ondra is the best climber on the planet. Based on their time filming together, Magnus compared twenty of the world’s elite climbers and placed Adam Ondra at the very top.

In a video titled “Who’s ACTUALLY the World’s Best Climber?”, Magnus Midtbø highlighted Adam’s historic contributions to the sport—particularly his first ascents of 9b+ and 9c routes, his speed ascent of the Dawn Wall, and his exceptional technique. According to the Norwegian, Adam Ondra has dominated the climbing world for an entire decade.

Right behind the Czech climber was Austrian Jakob Schubert, whom Midtbø described as an underrated “physical monster.” Third place went to Slovenia’s top competitive climber, Janja Garnbret. Rounding out the top five were American Alex Honnold for his free solo feats and British boulderer Will Bosi.

Other names appearing on the list included Stefano Ghisolfi, Tomoa Narasaki, Alex Megos, Olympic champion Toby Roberts, and the legendary Chris Sharma.
