Youth World Championships in Lead Climbing: Jan Štípek, 7th Jan Štípek finished in 7th place yesterday at the Youth World Championships in lead climbing in Arco, Italy, as the top finisher among our team. The rest of the Czech national team members did not advance to the finals.
Two other Czech competitors finished in the semifinals: Dominik Jačka (U17) placed 9th - the first competitor not to advance -and Maxmilián Suchan placed 11th. The others were eliminated in the qualifying rounds.

The World Championships continue today with speed climbing, in which no Czech competitors are participating.
From tomorrow through Saturday, the competition will feature bouldering, where Czech participation is expected.
