Tomas Mrazek is the World champion in difficulty climbing. He won today (July 13th 2003) the final of World championship in Chamonix (FRA).
”Well, he said nothing except that it has gone over! Than we cried of triumph across of silent stadium. All Slavs embraced,” trainer of Czech Mountaineering Union Slavek Vomacko described the atmosphere.
Patxi Usobiaga (ESP) was the second and David Caude (FRA) the third.
Best woman was Muriel Sarkyn (Belgium). Czech Sona Hnizdilova was in woman semifinal on the 15th place, Tereza Kysilkova was the 28th.
Other Czech men finished in qualification. Martin Fojtík was in the end the 55th and Pavel Koran 69th. Similarly two Czechs ended in woman qualification: Lucie Rajfová (36th) and Helena Lipenská (38th).
