The new curios climbing discipline "Double Climbing" had the first Czech National Championship today and it was with quite strong international participation.

It was invented the last year at a veteran competition Viagra Cup in city of Liberec (Northern Bohemia) and today’s competition took place at town of Jicin (Eastern Bohemia) after the kids Lanex Cup at the same gym. It attracted today climbers from Slovakia, Hungary and Latvia.

The essential of the discipline is that the two members of one team are corded up by one express set 50 cm long.  For the climbing is allowed to use holds, surface of climbing wall and the body of the co-member of the team. So it causes plenty of bizarre moments and body positions.
