The 6th Smichov Festival of Alpinism takes place next weekend in Prague on November 20th–22nd 2009 and as the main guest Reinhold Massner will be presented there. The main foreign partner is South Tirol.

The presentations, film projection and photo shows by the Czech and foreign guests from mountaineering, climbing scene are on the schedule.



Among the guests are the members of Salewa team Alpine Extreme Team - Angelika Rainer and Christian Hainz,  US first ascender in Nepal – Joe Puryear, extreme alpinists and climbers Stephan Glowacz and Ines Papert both from Germany, Boris Lorecic and Urban Azman from Slovenia, Dawa Sherpa and Appa Sherpa from Nepal.

The safety in climbing will be the topic of presentation of Walter Würtl from Austrian Alpenverein and Rudi Mayr and Patrick Nairz from Lawinen-Warn-Dienst from Innsbruck etc.
From Czech mountaineers and climbers there are expected: Radek Jaros, David Fojtik, Zdenek Hruby, Marek Holecek etc.
