Arco’s Rock Master is what legends are made of. Taking place once a year, this climbing festival is the single competition, which encompasses the entire history of sports climbing. Since 1986 every first weekend of September sees thousands of vertical enthusiasts gathering together at Arco (Trentino) for what is rightly regarded as the most important competition of the year: the Rock Master Trophy.

No other competition can boast such a rich and noble history. This is because climbing's equivalent of Wimbledon takes place at the Climbing Stadium, a competition arena deemed the modern temple of this vertical sport; a modern, incredible artificial wall, 7storeys high, has witnessed the extraordinary evolution of all climbing stars from every era.
Only the greatest champions have written the history of the Rock Master. It is because of this that spectacle is guaranteed in Arco. The Rock Master has always played an instrumental role in the evolution of sports climbing and has always been a synonym for spectacle and sporting excellence.
The entire competition is inserted in the natural territory of Arco, Lake Garda  and the Sarca Valley, which has been the symbol of the sports climbing capital since the very outset. Rock Master is therefore a unique occasion to experience a great sporting event in a beautiful and unique natural setting.

Rock Master Trophy 2006 - XX Edition

The classic and historical Trophy dedicated to those "Difficulty" athletes who make stamina and reaching the highest point possible an art.

when:     Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September 2005
where: Climbing Stadium Arco, 18m high, 15m overhanging
who: 10 climbers in the men's category and 10 in the men's category, based on the continuously updated Worldranking, or, put in other words, the strongest climbers in the world in this discipline.
formula: this classic difficulty competition takes place over a two-day period: Saturday's on-sight and Sunday's after work redpoint. The points (ie height) are added to create the final results.

Ennio Lattisi Trophy 2006 - "The Duel"

The emotional head-to-head challenge against the best 4 of the Rock Master Trophy
when:   Sunday 3/09
where:  Climbing Stadium
who: the top 4 of the final results (men and women) of the Rock Master.
formula: the top 4 of the final results Rock Master compete in a head-to-head duel on two identical
parallel routes. The highest wins, if both reach the same point then the fastest wins. The winners of the first round (1st vs 3rd, 2nd vs 4th) compete in the final for the Trophy.

Sint Roc Bouldering Contest VII edition

The spectacle of the short and intense vertical enigma: unheard of climbing difficulties.
when:   Saturday 2 September (22,00) women's competition - Sunday 3 September (14,00) men's competition.
where: Climbing Stadium Arco, on a series of specially created boulders
formula: 4 boulder problems can be worked prior to the competition. Each problem eliminates the worst competitor, resulting in 2 or 3 athletes competing on the final fourth boulder problem.
athletes: 8-10 boulderers for both the male and female categories, by invitation only.

Speed competitioon - VII edition

The competition for supersonic climbers: the fastest sprinters in the world showdown at
the Climbing Stadium to break the vertical soundbarrier.

where: Climbing Stadium Arco, central wall
formula: Men’s head to head, sudden death competition on two identical, parallel routes. The
athletes are allowed to try the route for 30 minutes beforehand.
athletes: the best 10 sprinters in the world.
